Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run Hush. Depending on how you use the app, this may include:

  • Sleep records — sleep and wake times, sleep-stage estimates, and the summaries generated on your device.
  • Account details — if you create an account, your email address and authentication tokens.
  • Device & diagnostic data — app version, device model, OS version, and crash logs used to fix problems.
  • Purchase data — subscription status, handled by the App Store or Google Play (we never see your card number).

2. Your sleep audio

To detect movement and sound during the night, Hush processes microphone input on your device. Raw audio is analysed locally and is not uploaded to our servers. You can delete any stored night, including its audio-derived data, at any time from within the app.

3. How we use data

We use the information above to:

  • Provide sleep tracking, the smart alarm, and your insights;
  • Sync your data across your own devices if you enable an account;
  • Diagnose crashes and improve reliability;
  • Respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your sleep data to serve advertising.

4. Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us operate Hush — for example, cloud hosting and crash reporting — under contracts that limit them to that purpose. We may also disclose information where required by law.

5. Retention

Sleep records stay until you delete them or close your account. Diagnostic logs are kept for a limited period and then removed. When you delete your account, we remove associated personal data from our active systems within 30 days, except where we must retain it to meet a legal obligation.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app, or by contacting us using the details below.

7. Children

Hush is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
